Did you know that Tiffany "New York" Pollard was natural?

I found out a year or so ago that she's natural. You just never know what's hiding underneath pounds of weave and lacefront wigs, but I have to say.....I like her more natural look. She actually looks good. I've never been a big fan of the too much hair and too much make up-look. Some folks can get away with it when done right(I think....lol), but I hope to see more of this look in the future because it really is becoming on her, and I'm not saying this because I'm partially biased.

She looks good. :)

Naturally FaF-Super Bowl Edition!!

I’m not particularly a Green Bay fan, but I’m a football AND natural hair fan. So I’m rather disappointed in myself because I NEVER noticed this fine specimen of a man….who happens to wear his hair long and natural.

Did I mention he’s fine?

Although on IR for most of the season due to a season-ending injury, Nick Barnett is known for being a leader for the Packs and I think worth a FaF shoutout.

And yeah….his hair is awesome.

Naturally FaF: India Benet

I had to post these pictures. Why? Because not only is she the talented offspring of the gorgeous Eric Benet(she's featured on his latest album), but she's naturally beautiful herself. I mean....look at her! If I were to grow my hair out a bit more, I'd want her length, but errrmmm.....it'll be YEARS before I get that kind of hang.

Until then(if ever), I'll just live vicariously through her. ;)

The pics below are from a photoshoot for her album.

Don't confuse emolliency with moisturization. Products with emollients impart a softness to the hair, which is often confused with moisture, but they are not necessarily the same. Moisture provides the elasticity and pliability needed to maintain healthy length and emollients can help to retain that moisture, with most noticeable emollients being those of oils and butters(although not limited to those). Emollients are often used to seal IN moisture. So all of this is to say....just because your hair FEELS soft doesn't mean it's retaining its moisture balance.

Soft hair can be dry and brittle too.
